Welcome to Fireworks.
We're glad you found us.
A Staffordshire-based registered charity supporting the mental and emotional health of children and young people — through singing, signing and mindfulness in schools.
Helping young people become the best version of themselves
We work in primary and secondary schools across Staffordshire, running weekly small-group workshops that combine singing & signing, mindfulness, music, and animal-assisted therapy. Our aim is simple: give children the skills to face life's pressures and grow in confidence and resilience.
How we work
Each workshop combines these three approaches, tailored to the needs of the group.
Singing & Signing
Using Makaton and British Sign Language to build social bonds, exercise the brain, and develop confidence and a new skill.
Mindfulness
Sensory, art, music, breathing and outdoor activities — teaching young people to pause, regulate, and self-manage.
Music
Used for relaxation, body scans and mindfulness anchoring — supporting both self-esteem and emotional regulation.
Who we help
We work with children and young people who are experiencing a wide range of challenges — often the ones who need support most but find it hardest to ask.
- Anxiety and low self-esteem
- Friendship difficulties and social isolation
- Additional needs, including autism
- Bereavement and emotional loss
- The pressures of school transitions (Year 6 to Year 7)
"The sessions have made a real difference. Children who struggled to engage are now taking part, building friendships and showing real confidence in themselves."
— School staff member, Staffordshire
